Such metal utensils are used primarily for serving food to the family at meal times and for presenting offerings to the gods during worship. The large brass tray (no. 36) has a tree of life with a profusion of flowers and leaves incised along its rim, which can be compared with a similar tray in Bussabarger and Robins (1968) p. 77.
